Gareth Hobbs Psychologist

As an undergraduate psychology student I registered with a labour hire company that offered short-term employment opportunities with many organisations. These roles gave me a glimpse into the operations of many successful companies and the issues faced by their employees. After graduating I worked as a drug and alcohol counsellor & completed six months of supervision with a Clinical Psychologist at Albany Hospital, followed by a further eighteen months of supervision with a Clinical Psychologist at Next Step in Perth. I returned to Albany as a registered Psychologist and opened a part-time psychology practice called Brief Intervention Counselling. I have combined this with various part-time roles, including coordinating the Children's Contact Service at Anglicare and working as a Health Services Officer at Max Employment. Today I combine private practice with the Student Counsellor role at South Regional TAFE.
