I'm Gareth Hobbs, a registered psychologist based in Albany, Western Australia. Since becoming registered in 2010, I've worked with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, workplace stress and major life transitions. I provide face to face therapy in Albany and secure telehealth appointments for clients across Australia.

I am also a Preferred Provider to the Western Australia Police Force, supporting first responders and other professionals who work in demanding, high responsibility roles. This work has strengthened my understanding of trauma, burnout, moral injury, cumulative stress and the unique pressures faced by those working in emergency services.

My approach is collaborative, practical and evidence informed. Rather than simply helping people feel better in the moment, I aim to help them understand the patterns that shape their thoughts, emotions and relationships while developing practical strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.

I strive to provide a calm, respectful and supportive environment where people feel understood, challenged when appropriate, and equipped to move forward with greater confidence.
